Novita
Novita’s 2008 Annual General Meeting (AGM) was held in the Regency Park Theatre on Tuesday, 26 May 2009. A special day for Novita, this day also marked our 70th birthday. A wonderful milestone in the organisation’s history.
To celebrate, Novita’s Client Ambassadors Michele Colmer, Angus Fowler and Libby Kosmala, along with Community Ambassador, Adelaide Thunderbirds Netballer Mo’nia Gerrard, cut a special Novita 70th birthday cake.
Novita President, Andrew Downing and Chief Executive, Glenn Rappensberg, presented Novita memberships and awards to Novita supporters, volunteers, clients and community supporters, as follows:
The Novita Achievement Awards
President's Achievement Award
The President's Achievement Award is presented to a Novita client who has made outstanding progress in their rehabilitation. The 2008 recipient is Kasey Rule.
Carol Dibben Encouragement Award
The Carol Dibben Encouragement Award is presented in memory of Carol Dibben, a former client and long-term employee of Novita, to recognise a senior student who has worked diligently to achieve their personal goals. The 2008 recipient is Alice Waterman.
Pauline McGregor Award
The Pauline McGregor Award commemorates the dedication and commitment of the late Pauline McGregor, a former Novita staff member who had made a lasting contribution to the area of early intervention. The award recognises the outstanding achievements of a Novita client under the age of eight. The 2008 recipient is Ethan Kelly.
Recreational and Sporting Achievement Award
The Recreational and Sporting Achievement Award is presented to a Novita client who has shown determination to achieve in a sporting or recreational capacity. The 2008 recipient is Aidan Barry.
Communication Achievement Award
The Communication Achievement Award is presented to a Novita client who has overcome considerable personal or environmental barriers to make significant process in their communication. The 2008 recipient is Shalini Fernando.
Honorary Life Membership
In recognition of outstanding service to the Association, Honorary Life Membership was awarded to:

Life Governor
In recognition of individuals who have donated more than $10,000 in cash or kind, Life Governor Memberships were awarded to:
