Services

Novita is committed to improving the lives of children living with disabilities  and their families by encouraging them to live, learn and play in an environment that is fostered by the principles of fun and achievement.

When it comes to supporting our families, we know that children learn and develop best in an environment in which they are comfortable. This is why, where possible, our dedicated staff support our children and their families at home, at school, in country areas and right across the community, ensuring each child has every opportunity to reach their full potential.

Novita provides the essential support, therapy and special equipment our children need to really ‘connect with their worlds’. Some of Novita’s most common services include:

Therapy and family support services
Novita’s therapy and family support staff visit families at home, school and even at child care to provide occupational therapy, physiotherapy, speech pathology, psychology and family support.

Acquired Brain Injury (ABI) services
Novita’s ABI team includes family support, physiotherapy, occupational therapy, speech pathology and psychology staff, who provide specialised support to children and families living with acquired brain injuries.

Equipment
Novita administers the children’s portion of the Government of South Australia’s Independent Living Equipment Program (ILEP). This program provides children with a huge range of equipment and technology  to help make day-to-day life easier.

Toy and Resource Centre
Novita’s Toy and Resource Centre boasts the largest collection of specialist materials for children with physical disabilities in South Australia. It is a valuable resource for clients, their families, students, researchers and disability experts from across the state.

Inclusion Support Program
Novita’s Inclusion Support Program assists child care services to include children requiring additional support, such as children from culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds, children with ongoing high support needs and indigenous children.

Autism Early Intervention Program

The Autism Early Intervention Service Provider Panel is an initiative of the Federal government providing increased access to a range of evidence based services for children with autism spectrum disorder (ASD). Novita is one of the South Australian agencies on the Provider Panel and is able to offer children and parents services funded through this initiative.
