The following prices relate to your Novita group programs at our community hubs, our Step-Up program and the Recreation Program at The Grove. The same model will apply to transportation charges for group programs.
Levels of support
For our Community Group programs, we have three levels of support that match your needs.
- Level 1: for people who mainly need one-to-one support.
- Level 2: for people who mainly have shared support with one other person.
- Level 3: for people who mainly have a mixture of shared support with one or two other people.
These hourly support levels reflect the changes that happen in a group. We will always provide a higher level of support when required and there are times when your ratio of support is less, but your level of support will stay the same as you currently receive. The number of Novita support workers who are part of your program will not be changing.
Capital Centre Costs
You may also notice something that is called “centre capital cost” on the invoices that you receive from us.
The NDIS define this as the cost of making a centre available and suitable for use by individuals in the program. program across the day.
Non-Face-to-Face Time
Some of the support that we provide to our clients includes activities that don’t happen face-to-face. This can include planning and preparing activities, discussions with family members and other important people in your life, updating important documents and assessments.
Each of the three price levels of support includes a component of non-face-to-face time that is essential for safe, quality services for all our clients.
If additional non-face-to-face time is required, we will discuss this with you in advance.
Costs that will appear on your invoice
Level 1
Hourly Price: $75.28
Appears on invoice as:
- $67.42 for Level 1 std day time (direct support)
- $2.59 for centre capital cost
- $5.27 for NFFT (non face to face time)
Level 2
Hourly Price: $44.73
Appears on invoice as:
- $36.87 for Level 2 std day time (direct support)
- $2.59 for centre capital cost
- $5.27 for NFFT (non face to face time)
Level 3
Hourly Price: $34.78
Appears on invoice as:
- $26.92 for Level 3 std day time (direct support)
- $2.59 for centre capital cost
- $5.27 for NFFT (non face to face time)
Travel
If you book a support to be held at your choice of community location in metropolitan Adelaide, you will be charged for the support worker’s travel time, up to a maximum of 30 minutes per appointment, each way at the same hourly rate as the service being provided.
For regional services, up to 60 minutes of travel, each way may be charged at the same hourly rate as the service being provided. Flat rates or travel ‘by quote’ may be negotiated, depending on circumstances.
You will be charged for the travel non-labour costs (for example running costs of the vehicle) at a rate of $1.10 per kilometre for metro and $1.20 for regional.
Transport
When our support workers transport you to and from your community programs the following charges will apply, in addition to your support worker’s time, at a maximum of:
- $1.10 per kilometre for a vehicle that is not modified for accessibility;
- $1.10 per kilometre for a vehicle that is modified for accessibility and shared with other participants;
- $3.15 per kilometre for a vehicle that is modified for accessibility; and other associated costs such as parking or public transport fares.
Activity based travel
Transport is an important part of our community programs, ensuring that our clients can work towards their goals in the community. The cost of transport includes both staff and non-staff costs, for example the cost of vehicles.
To make sure this is consistent, we will include a flat rate of $6.60 per day for clients attending community programs that have Novita vehicles. You will see this on your invoice as “activity based transport.”
Please note that this does not include our Recreation program.
Client contribution fee
Your client contribution fee covers the costs of activities and materials within your community program. This is charged at $9.00 per day.
