Transition Support

Children undergo many transitions during the course of their childhood. Some of these are life transitions such as when they take their first steps and become mobile, or as puberty onsets or when they reach adulthood.

Frequently a child who has a disability does not meet these transitions according to the same timetable as their peers.

Other transitions are “required” as children grow and move through our community social, education or health systems; the transition to Kindy, starting School, moving to High School or joining a new social or sporting group.

Many of these transitions involve going to new places, meeting new people and overcoming new challenges and typically signify growth and development in your child.

You may find that at times of transition you and your child may need support. Novita can help.

Novita can provide information, access to resources and other services and supports that makes each transition as effective and painless as possible.
