Exploring Behaviour

Do you have kids in your class or learning environment who:

  • never seem to listen?
  • always seem distracted or are often distracting others?
  • that you always feel you are ‘talking to’?
  • that take your time away from what you really should/want to be doing?

Do you wish you had more of an understanding as to the ‘why’ of these behaviours?

It is important we understand what may be going on ‘under the surface’. Is what we are seeing the whole story? We need to be aware of our interactions and reactions in order to be able to best support children.

Children’s behaviour is influenced by many factors, including relationships, environments and approaches. How can we develop a deeper understanding of these influences, explore and find better ways to respond to behaviour that challenges us?

Who should attend?:

  • Child care educators
  • Preschool teachers and support staff
  • Junior primary/primary teachers and support staff
  • Out of School Hours Care (OSHC) educators
  • Allied Health Professionals wanting to learn more about understanding behaviour

Benefits of attending:

Learn about:

  • Early brain development
  • How behaviours are learned and reinforced
  • Factors that may affect behaviour
  • Environmental needs for individual children
  • The importance of your relationship with each child and their family

Request a workshop:
