Hi, my name is Gavin I'm a team leader here at transition to work. We understand when you have a disability and you're trying to find employment, that can be really hard. We want to take you on a journey where we can help you with that. We've asked our participants what they would like to do and so we have tailored our programs around their interests.

Hello, I'm Braden the Barista in the Novita Star Cafe. We are learning about skills in the cafe and out in the real world. My favorite part is working with the awesome Claudine - she's like another family member to me. Thank you so much, would you like your docket?

We find it's really important to be able to nurture and to be able to give them a sense of belonging in in what they want to do.

Hi, my name is James and I am part of the gardening group. We're growing chilies, we've also got spinach along with some strawberries and we put them in yummy foods that people in transition to work make. It brings out a lot of happiness you know and just makes me want to do more. I've gotten some good support and I'm really proud of myself that I'm doing stuff independently.

We have partnered up with other people and go out to the community and help with various jobs. You can see that it's definitely helped with their independence and their confidence and their belief in themselves. There's been a massive change in their heart and their attitude towards work. Participants who come to us with their needs and we listen to what they say. We just Embrace who they are as people. And we have participants that are involved in Novita Bingo. Calling out the numbers, giving out the prizes as well. It gives them more confidence in being able to organise and talk to people. We have participants doing administration work as so work with other colleagues. Where they'll have teamwork and we want to encourage them in social skills, listening skills and Independence. We're hoping for their future that they will find something that they will enjoy, as we all do. If this is appealing to you, please contact us here at transition to work.
