Novita Dental Program provides dental check-ups and treatment for eligible children at no out of pocket expense. While there is a cost for adults, the prices are below what you might be charged locally while gaining access to experienced professionals.

Our Aim

To improve oral health and wellbeing for children and adults living in metropolitan Adelaide and regional South Australia. We recognise it can be a challenge to find an experienced dentist and we want to make that easier.

Oral health is important from a young age and remains so throughout life with the benefits of healthy teeth and gums supporting a varied nutritious diet, wellbeing and sleep, and confidence.

Novita Dental Program is a partnership between the Australian Dental Foundation Program, North Adelaide Dental Care and Novita who are dedicated to improving access to dental services. The private, independently run program helps ensure people can access best practice dental health care. The experienced dentists and specialised equipment ensure there is no barriers to accessing dental care for people with disability.

What is the CDBS?

The Child Dental Benefits Schedule (CDBS) is a dental benefits program for eligible children aged 0-17 years that provides up to $1,095 in benefits to the child for basic dental services over a 2 year period. Services that receive a benefit under the program include examinations, x-rays, cleaning, fissure sealing, fillings, root canals, extractions and partial dentures. CDBS was introduced by the Australian Government on 1 January 2014. It provides financial assistance to families to help assess the health of their children and teenagers’ teeth. Who is eligible for the CDBS?

A child’s eligibility is assessed at the beginning of each year and lasts the whole calendar year.

A child is eligible if they are:

Aged between 0-17 years for at least 1 day of the calendar year
Eligible for Medicare
Receiving an eligible payment e.g. Family Tax Benefit A, Youth Allowance

Adult

The fees for adults are lower than the industry average. Please note that these costs are not covered by your NDIS plan.

$80: Comprehensive oral examination

$36: Topical application of fluoride

$178: Hygiene (removal of calculus)

$245: Dental Assessment Package

Includes all of the above (comprehensive oral examination, topical application of fluoride, removal of calculus) with a 20% discount
a hygiene kit of 2x toothbrushes
2x toothpastes and a mini floss

$233: Dental Assessment Package

Includes all of the above with a 20% discount without hygiene kit

$44 each: X-Ray (intra periapical / bitewing radiograph)

$196- $550: Filling (adhesive restoration)

$178 – $372: Extraction

$110: Denture clean

$190: Denture package

FREE – Oral hygiene instruction (maintenance for a healthy mouth)

TBC:

Denture repairs (dependent on severity of damage)
