1 Day How to use a PODD workshop

Build your confidence using Pragmatic Organisation Dynamic Display (PODD) in this practical one-day workshop, designed to teach clinicians and communication partners to support more effective everyday communication.
1 Day Workshop

About the workshop

This one-day workshop provides clinicians, educators and support professionals with the knowledge and practical skills to support individuals who require alternative access methods to use PODD communication books.

While many PODD communication books are designed for direct access, effective communication is still possible for people who cannot directly point to symbols. This workshop explores a range of alternative access methods that enable individuals with complex physical disabilities to communicate more independently and effectively.

Through a combination of theory, demonstrations and hands-on activities, participants will develop practical skills in using eye pointing, partner-assisted scanning, combination access and coded access, while learning how to select the most appropriate access method for each individual's needs.

Whether you're supporting children or adults with complex communication needs, this workshop will build your confidence in implementing alternative access strategies in everyday practice.
