"The first night I ever left home. I've never done it in my entire life before - it was all new. 

Spoken by Novita Support Worker, Aimee:

My name is Aimee Trengove am currently at Plympton scosa and I'm a support worker. Recently supported Debra in her respite services with Novita. 

Spoken by Novita Client, Debra:

"Cooking was one of my big hits. Because I was able to cook up some lunches and freeze them for the week. Yes, I'm a pro cooking. I've done a whole week shopping. I've sort of learned how to do that as well. I felt more independent." 

Spoken by Novita Support Worker, Aimee:

"Just getting Debra ready where she understands what it's like living out of home. "

Conversation between concierge and Debra:

"We did public transport. She would come in the morning, take me to scosa on the tram, bring me back here. I just had loads of fun."

"Having those choices for herself just uplifted her personality and she just felt great in herself. It is her goal and she wants to live independently and be able to manage her own day-to-day living skills." 

Conversation between concierge and Debra:

Fringe festival, the zoo, botanical gardens, indian festival. It was fun. I have a niece and nephew - they go "are you having fun?" I went "yes!" "Can we come and visit you?" "No!" It was Auntie's time to go on my holiday. I really enjoyed staying here.
