ENVISAGE

Novita is excited to be the SA partner for ENVISAGE! ENVISAGE stands for ENabling VISions And Growing Expectations.

ENVISAGE is a free program open to parents and caregivers raising children aged 0-8 years with disability or developmental concerns. The program has been co-designed with parents, carers, service providers, health professionals and researchers to empower families.

Meeting and sharing experiences with other caregivers was enlightening and opened up my world, as I know I’m no longer alone on my journey.

– ENVISAGE participant

ENVISAGE is delivered across Australia and is funded by the Australian Government Department of Social Services. Program development and delivery is led by the Australian Catholic University, the University of Melbourne, and the Murdoch Children’s Research Institute

ENVISAGE consists of five hours of workshops co-facilitated by a parent-peer and allied health or early childhood professional. Participants also have access to a learning platform with a tailored set of materials, tools, and resources for 12 months.

ENVISAGE is especially beneficial for parents and caregivers who are relatively new to parenting a child with disability or developmental concern. You can access a fully funded place in ENVISAGE without needing a diagnosis or NDIS plan. It’s an ideal program to learn more about how to best support your child’s learning and development, including during everyday family activities.

As a parent/caregiver, YOU are the expert on your child and their biggest supporter. Having a child with disability or developmental concern might mean your parenting journey is turning out a little differently to what you expected, but ENVISAGE is here to help.

ENVISAGE includes practical tools and strategies for supporting your family, covering areas such as:

  • Contemporary strengths-based frameworks for thinking about early child development.
  • How to find reliable information about evidence-based early intervention.
  • Connecting with other parents and caregivers.
  • Building strong collaborative relationships with service providers.
  • Looking after yourself so you can look after others.

Age group:

Parents and caregivers raising children aged 0-8 years with disability or developmental concerns.
