Novita’s professional and dedicated Clare team offers a wide range of tailored therapy services to support kids, young people and adults living with disability to achieve their goals.

Community Programs

Novita’s Day Options is a friendly, fun and inclusive program for adults run by experienced qualified Disability Support Workers. Individual goals, developmental needs and interests are taken into consideration when planning activities and outings so everyone gets the most out of Day Options. Activities may include – cooking, watching movies, arts and crafts and excursions out in the local community.

Short-term Respite

Respite involves a Novita or scosa client spending some quality time – with assistance from a support worker – in short-term accommodation. It’s a ‘home away from home’ for people living with disability, and also offers the opportunity for family members and carers to have a break.

Individualised Support

Novita’s Individualised Support service operates 24 hours a day, seven days a week, to support people living with disability - and the frail aged - with everyday activities like personal care, budgeting, and using public transport. Our services are tailored to meet your needs and goals.

Support Coordination

Novita is a National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) registered service and support provider, and we can help you and your family and carers to navigate the NDIS system and create your own NDIS plan.

Supported Independent Living

Supported Independent Living (SIL) is a service Novita provides to people living with disability aged 18 and over who wish to be supported to live either independently in their own home or in shared accommodation. We provide compassionate, professionally trained staff that will support you 24/7 to achieve your goals and learn independent living skills.

Assistive Technology

Assistive Technology (AT) and equipment can support people living with disability to achieve their goals at home, at school, in the workplace, and in the community. Novita can provide assessment and prescription for Assistive Technology, as well as helping with funding applications through various equipment funding schemes.

The new, larger Clare hub at 25 Old North Road, Clare features multiple therapy rooms, a large group therapy space with a fully equipped kitchen, a laundry area with a washing machine and dryer, and an orthotics room. The extra space provided by the new hub gives us great potential to grow and expand our services and supports, especially in the area of therapy groups.

Novita’s Clare hub servicing clients and families at 25 Old North Road, Clare, is just a short drive from the former Novita hub. Depending on the services and supports your need, the Clare team can also deliver our therapy services in the family home, at school, or at an appropriate location through our mobile services.

How we work

Novita works using the Life Needs Model of Service Delivery, which is a flexible approach focussing on community-based and specialised services that match your goals, whatever your stage of life. With you and your family at the centre of our thinking, we provide services across all areas of life, including:

  • your home – we work in partnership with families and significant others to support skill development, as well as home modifications, technology and equipment
  • education – working in partnership with school staff and providing access to technology and equipment, as well as training and support
  • community – liaising with health professionals and partnering with community groups to provide linked services, education and training.

Novita is one of South Australia’s largest and most respected community-based disability service organisations supporting people living with disability through a network of therapy hubs across the state and in Broken Hill, We have around 800 professional and dedicated staff supporting around 4,300 clients, as well as their families and carers. Our team includes Occupational Therapists, Speech Pathologists, Physiotherapists, Exercise Physiologists, Social Workers, Developmental Educators, Psychologists, Rehabilitation Engineers, Orthotists, Disability Support Workers, and more.
