2022/2023 School Holiday Recreation Program
During the school holidays, Novita provides a quality Recreation Program for kids and teens living with disability. Join us this April, July, October, and/or December/January next year for a fun-filled few weeks where we’ll host lots of fun activities, welcome special guest entertainment and go on exciting excursions.
What to expect
Our friendly, specialised Support Workers encourage everyone to participate whilst ensuring they meet every individual’s developmental and health care needs.
When planning activities, we take into consideration the personal interests and emotional needs of each young person to ensure everyone enjoys themselves. The Recreation Program encourages a sense of self, exposing young people to new experiences in a safe and caring environment.
All Recreation Program staff hold current First Aid certificates and clearances for working with children.
- Arts & crafts
- Science experiments
- Fitness activities
- Music & dance
…and many more!
Novita’s Recreation Program is tailored toward our client’s individual NDIS goals such as the development of motor skills, self-regulation, turn taking, sharing, life and personal care skills, safety awareness, communication and independence. The program and environment is responsive to each child’s needs, interests, and choices and that contributes to their ongoing development.
Your Safety is our Top Priority
The safety and wellbeing of our clients, their families and carers, is of paramount importance to us. As such, we are closely monitoring the changing situation regarding COVID-19 to ensure that participants can safely access our services. We ask you to please be mindful of ensuring your loved one is feeling well when attending Novita services. For the latest information on Coronavirus (COVID-19), what you can do to prevent the spread of the virus, and how this may impact your supports or services, please visit our COVID-19 webpage.
An Individual Support Fee is charged hourly according to client’s individual support requirements. It may be claimed from NDIS participants funding for Core Supports with your consent if your child has goals which will be addressed by attendance at our program.
