Tell Canberra to stop the NDIS cuts!

The NDIA has announced new and damaging cuts to the NDIS.

In South Australia alone, these include a $40 per hour cut in the price setting for physiotherapy services and a $10 per hour cut in the price setting for psychology services as well as a 50% cut in the price setting for travel time for therapists.

It means quality providers – many whose businesses are already struggling because price settings have not kept pace with inflation – will continue to be forced out of the market.

It’s a devastating decision that will make it harder for people to access support and the most affected will be those with the greatest need — people requiring more complex supports, and those in regional and remote areas who already face barriers in accessing services.

We’re not taking this lying down – and there are things you can do to help.

It’s important that your voice is heard.

You can write to relevant federal and state MPs. We’ve created an easy-to-use email template below that you can adapt and use.

Subject line: URGENT ACTION NEEDED: Stop the NDIS cuts!

Dear Minister(s),
I write to express my outrage at the cuts to NDIS pricing levels that came into effect on 1 July 2025. Specifically, the $40 per hour cut in the price setting for physiotherapy services and the $10 per hour cut in the price setting for psychology services in South Australia combined with the halving of funding for travel time for therapists is shortsighted and damaging.
These cuts will make it financially unsustainable for many NDIS providers to deliver the complex, high-quality support people with complex needs require, particularly in regional areas where access to quality support is already marginal. And it’s people with disability who will get hurt the most – the very people the NDIS was designed to help. I urge you to reconsider these cuts.
