New Novita Office in Port Lincoln

On Friday 3 November, Novita opened a new office in Port Lincoln.

The office, at 2/18 King Street, provides a designated location for people to access Novita’s current services plus expanded specialist children’s rehabilitation services, and hydrotherapy delivered at the Port Lincoln Leisure Centre.

It features three therapy rooms as well as a splinting and casting room and employs four therapists – three physiotherapists and a social worker locally, with a new occupational therapist starting in December. Additional therapists, including speech pathologists, psychologists and orthotists, will continue to visit from Adelaide.

Novita Chief Executive Officer, Greg Ward said the opening of this new office reflects Novita’s commitment to continued expansion, in order to give more people access to their Novita supports and service under their NDIS plans.

“It is so vitally important that people living with disability have access to the services they need to lead fulfilling lives within their local community, and we want to help more people access our innovative supports, services and equipment, closer to home.”

“We look forward to giving more people living with disability access to our services so that they can achieve everything they’re capable of.”

We were joined at the official opening by distinguished guests, including Mr Peter Treloar MP, Member for Flinders, and Mayor Bruce Green, City of Port Lincoln.

We were also joined by one our Novita Ambassadors, Angus Waller, and his father, Matthew. Angus was the recipient of the Novita President’s Achievement Award in 2016, in recognition of the outstanding progress he made in his rehabilitation.

Novita already supports more than 40 local families and is looking forward to welcoming more people from the region through this new office.
