Welcome to Novita’s Berri hub. We are dedicated to supporting people with disability from all over the Riverland and surrounding areas to achieve their goals. Our recently renovated hub is located at 5 Gilbert Street, Berri, close to the town centre.
Our Berri hub is a one-stop-shop for support in the region. We provide access to a range of services including therapy, assistive technology and community programs. Our team will support you to achieve your goals, by providing unique, tailored support, where you need it most–in your own community.
We are a trusted NDIS services provider, with a team of passionate local staff. We provide support and therapy for a wide range of disabilities from autism to physical disabilities including cerebral palsy and many more.
Our team can work with your wider support network, such as local schools, carers, other support organisations, and relevant community groups to ensure that we can support you to achieve your goals.
Novita has a proven track record in supporting South Australians to achieve their goals–in fact, we’ve been working with people with disability since 1939. We’ve become one of SA’s most respected community-based disability support organisations, supporting over 5,000 clients of all ages across the state to work towards their therapy goals, and participate in their communities.

We are committed to supporting you, or your loved ones, to live the life you want, through our four core service pillars – therapy, community programs, and assistive technology. Our services are delivered by highly qualified and passionate professionals, who are driven to support our clients to achieve their goals.
We’re more than just another office in Berri–we’re a part of the wider Riverland community and have supported many people to reach their goals. Our supports are tailored for locals–and delivered by local staff who are passionate about supporting their community.
Services
Our local team of therapists and support workers offer an extensive range of tailored services to assist you to achieve your goals. Whether you’re looking for occupational therapy, speech pathology, community programs or another form of support, our services are all tailored to you.
Occupational Therapy
Our team of occupational therapists (OT) in Berri are focused on supporting you to live your everyday life to the best of your ability. They can work with you to develop daily living skills, movement and motor skills, sensory processing and regulation, personal care skills, sleep hygiene, and home modifications.
After a friendly chat with our team, we will develop a therapy plan to meet your specific needs.
Novita OTs also have access to a wide range of cutting-edge assistive technology (AT) solutions through NovitaTech, our specialised AT service.
Developmental Education
A Developmental Educator (DE) is an allied health professional who supports people of all ages with disability. They teach important life skills, set goals, and ensure physical and emotional wellbeing. DEs assess your needs and create positive plans to support you in various ways, such as working on your senses, independence, social skills, and more. They focus on what’s best for you, your loved ones, and the things that matter to you.
Positive Behaviour Support
Positive Behaviour Support (PBS) is a person-centred, contemporary approach to developing beneficial life changes for clients with disability who use harmful behaviours or behaviours of concern (BOCs). Positive Behaviour Support involves gathering information and implementing changes through the client’s entire support network–including caregivers, family, educators, and medical professionals, all brought together by the Novita PBS Practitioner in a Behaviour Support Plan.
Support Coordination
Novita is a registered NDIS provider, with staff based in Berri who can support you, your family, and your careers to create your own plan forward. We can take you through how the NDIS works and organise the most efficient use of your budget to best support your everyday life.
Physiotherapy
Physiotherapy supports people who have difficulty with their movement skills due to living with physical disability. Our physiotherapists can tailor a range of therapies to support movement and pain management, as well as being able to provide advice, prescription and training for mobility equipment such as wheelchairs and walking aids. Our Berri based physiotherapists can also provide hydrotherapy and aquatic therapy services.
Speech Pathology
Working on your communication skills? Novita’s speech pathologists are the experts. Whether you’re working on alternate means of communication like PODD (Pragmatic Organisation Dynamic Display) books, or you need support with your speaking, listening, stuttering, or reading and writing skills, we want to hear from you. Novita Speech Pathologists are also able to support you with overcoming challenges in swallowing, eating and drinking safely.
Individualised Support
Our individualised support service assists clients from all over the Riverland to work towards their goals, as well as with everyday support such as transport needs, personal care, domestic tasks, and much more.
Novita support workers are expertly trained and passionate about what they do and can tailor their support to the needs of each client. Individualised support can be delivered through the hub at Berri, or through our outreach program across the Riverland.
We have permission to provide social support on evenings and weekends for people to attend local and community events, and activities like going out for dinner and playing social sports, local events and catching up with friends
Orthotics and Prosthetics
Our specialist orthotists and prosthetists offer a personalised approach to these important services, right here in Berri. Our Novita orthotics and prosthetics van regularly visits Berri throughout the year, which provides Riverland residents the opportunity to get scanned and measured for personalised orthotics and prostheses that fit you and your life perfectly by the experts.
We provide assistive technology and home modifications for people who need support around the house. We also have an onsite workshop to complete modifications for prosthetics and orthotics.

Outreach
We understand that support isn’t just limited to the major service centres, and that coming to Berri every day isn’t always a realistic solution for receiving support. Novita can provide support wherever you are along the Riverland. We’ll bring our expertise and our support to your doorstep – while still providing you with the highest quality care and support.
Community Programs
Our community programs, Step Up Life Skills and Transition to Work, support young adults living with disability to bridge the gap after leaving school, as they work towards their daily living and employment goals.
Step Up Life Skills and Transition to Work are designed for young people between the ages of 17 and 24, who have finished high school, and are looking to become more independent, and boost their employability. The programs are delivered by experienced Novita staff, with help from local Berri businesses.
